The glossary was made to help understand some words that are usually used in the military. It was also created for the purpose of a presentation.

An aeroplane, helicopter, or other machine capable of flight.
Example: Aircraft vehicles are used for flying.

noun
A large warship with a deck from which aircraft can take off and land.
Example: The army used aircraft carriers to launch planes from the sea.

noun
Large-calibre guns used in warfare on land.
Example: Big cannons that use large ammunition are called artillery.

noun
The tube through which the bullet moves when the gun is fired.
Example: The bullet was shot through the barrel of the gun.

noun
A blade that may be fixed to the muzzle of a rifle and used to stab an opponent in hand-to-hand fighting.
Example: The weapons were fitted with bayonets.

cannon
noun
A large, heavy piece of artillery, typically mounted on wheels, formerly used in warfare.
Example: Cannons were heavily used in the Second World War.

Fragments of a bomb, shell, or other object thrown out by an explosion.
Example: When the grenade exploded, the shrapnel flew everywhere.
